Here are 10 production tips that can help you tighten up your overall production game.

10) If you sample, name the sounds after your sample source so you won't forget what record you sampled from when needed.

9) Mix track, listen to song the next day and see if your happy with mix. If not, mix it again. Can be the difference to selling a track or even a track becoming a hit.

8) Sequence track so a rapper/singer can do there thing. Have it as ready as possible.

7) Be realistic with your tracks.. A/B compare it to what's currently on the market.

6) Research artist your doing records for. Be familiar with their sound. Doing this you'll have a better shot at getting a placement.

5) If your emailing or playing tracks for an artist..try to limit it to no more then 15 trks. Don't play your entire catalog. If you can't nail their sound in 15 trks..go back to the lab and re it up. (Don't sweat it, it happens to the best of us)

4) Always update your sound library. Ain't nothing worst then using a played out sound that is no longer in. Keep up with the times.

3) Don't stick to just samples...trust me your limiting yourself and keeping food out your mouth.
